Registering to Vote in Temple

The Supervisors of the Checklist meet at the town offices before each election, to take voter registrations applications and make changes.

How can I register to vote in Temple?

  • See the Town Clerk during regular office hours.
  • See Supervisors of the Checklist on their posted meeting times.
  • On Election Day, see the Supervisors of the Checklist at the polls.
(You may register and vote on Election Day.)

What forms of identification do I need to register?

The Supervisors need to verify three factors:

  • Citizenship
  • Age
  • Domicile (where you live)

Citizenship and age may be proved by passport or birth certificate. Something like a utility bill can verify your address. To show that you are you, show a driver’s license from any state or the federal government, a US Passport, an Armed Services photo ID, or any photo ID issued by the federal, state or local government.

If you have questions, please consult with the Town Clerk or the Supervisors of the Checklist.
