Curbside Service

Mansfield Public Library will begin offering Curbside Service on Tuesday, July 21.

Pickup times:
Tuesdays: 3 pm to 7 pm
Fridays: 10 am to 2 pm

How to Request Books
Books can be placed on hold through our online catalog.  You can search the catalog at https://opac.libraryworld.com/opac/home.php (Username: Mansfilib No password needed).

To reserve books, click on the book title and then the “Request Hold” button. You will be asked to provide your name, library card number, and an email. Please provide all information. An email will be sent to us and we can set the books aside for you. If you do not have access to our online catalog, you can call the library during the pickup times and speak to a staff member.

Please allow at least 48 hours for books to be pulled from the collection and bagged for you. To support social distancing efforts, we are operating with very limited staff. We will fill your holds as quickly as possible but wait times may be longer than usual. Thanks for your patience. You will be notified when your item is ready for pickup.

Books will be placed in paper bags and labeled with the patron’s last name. Please limit requests to 10 items at a time. If more than one patron requests the same item, a waiting list will be generated. You may keep books/materials for 3 weeks (you can return them early).  Bags will be placed on a table under the overhang at the library entrance. If someone else is picking up at the table, please wait for him or her to get items and leave the area before proceeding to the table. If you need assistance, a staff member will be inside the building. You can call the library number and a staff member can put books in your open trunk.

Returning items: Please do not use the book drop to return items. Bins will be placed under the table during the Tuesday and Friday pick up times. Please return books to these bins. Items must be quarantined for at least 72 hours before being wiped down and put back in circulation. Staff will wear gloves and masks when handling materials.

We will begin taking requests on Monday, July 13.

The library building will remain closed to the public. The restroom, computer, and all other spaces will not be accessible. You can access the library Wifi from outside the building.

Please bear with us as we navigated these unchartered waters. We are looking forward to serving you!
