Temple Planning Board - Grant Awarded

December 21, 2022

The Town of Temple Planning Board has been awarded a grant from the InvestNH Municipal Planning & Zoning Grant Program, funded by the NH Department of Business and Economic Affairs as part of the $100 million InvestNH Initiative with ARPA State Fiscal Recovery funds, in the amount of $54,771. This award will be administered jointly by NH Housing, Plan NH, and UNH Cooperative Extension.

This project is supported by federal award number SLFRP0145 awarded to the State of New Hampshire by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

The funds will be used to assist the Planning Board with assessing housing needs in our community, updating sections of the Temple Master Plan, and completing a regulatory audit of our Zoning Ordinance, Site Plan Regulations, and Subdivision Regulations. Community Engagement is central to the success of this project, and is a condition of acceptance of this award.

Up to three volunteer community members will participate in the Housing Academy, to help better facilitate dialog with the community throughout this process. The Housing Academy will be led by the UNH Cooperative Extension.
